You're right, "who cares" is admittedly muuuuch too flippant.

Just frustrated the White House didn't utilize all the tools at their disposal or nearly enough pressure and it's been President Manchin. And now, because he might as well be a Republican or working for the Republican Party, the Dems didn't do anything and are handing control back to the evil turtle in a suit anyways.

At least if they really turned the screws on him and he bailed, it'd feel/seem like they exhausted all options and really fought for something rather than letting him call the shots and now Republicans are going to sweep everything and anything for the next two cycles anyways.

With the fillibuster and McConnell, it's basically a lose-lose no matter what I guess.
