Whenever they have even a tiny bit of leverage, they fold, Kerry. The speakership vote in 2021 was a golden opportunity for them to extract SOMETHING from the party just like these loony Republicans just did. They got everything they asked for, and it didn’t ‘help’ Democrats in any way. Progressives could have done the same but for things that Americans actually want and need.

I believe it would have helped electorally as well. Instead, my feed is full of people sick of the Squad and the Democratic Party in general going into 2024.

We’ll see how it plays out.
