As a basic rule of thumb, the more instability, death, and destruction there is in the world, the more money the US weapons manufacturers make, which boosts the imaginary number of worship, GDP. And for that reason, America loves war.
Well, American Big Business loves war because their children get exemptions from fighting and those weapons manufacturers have Wall Street and private equity investors. Even our freaking lawmakers have financial stakes in those companies throughout their multi-million dollar investment portfolios.
US intelligence and geopolitical posturing create conflicts, arms sales go through the roof, and they all cash checks and put additions on their mansions. It’s not conjecture or speculation; the companies literally say they’re excited about instability in regions creating ‘growth opportunities’ in their shareholder calls.
