They're not really sending supplies for 'Ukrainian people to defend themselves.' Maybe the original billion. But at this point it's almost the equivalent of the entire Russian military budget. It's laundering weapons for the military industrial complex, Ray. It's not really going to help or change the dynamics on the ground.
If we want to help, as the Dems used to say, we need diplomacy. We know the terms. It could very well stop if we sit down at the table. We refuse to acknowledge that fact or are being manipulated into believing it isn't true. Even the invaders don't want it to last forever. And I'm purposefully using "WE" because, as I said in the piece and many journalists who've been on the ground acknowledge, this is a proxy war and the US is calling the shots.
