That seems to be a common sentiment here. Of course, in order to make a decision or live life we need values and if we "abandonded" our values we'd be too distracted kicking puppies and murdering each other to deal with climate change.

It's how Jordan Peterson evades questions regarding his positions. The values he extolls and glorifies are the failry typical religious right-wing conservative "western" excellence stuff.

That's where he stands and constantly punches left. When his conservative values are shown to be vapid, the debate shifts to more baseline things ie. we need "values" to deal with climate change. In debates its called a motte and bailey. It's a classic. And he's really really good at it.
