Thanks for the interesting thoughts, Noah! If you've seen this thread, you know there has kind of been that line of thought here although you articulated it very well. In a way he is staying in his lane by talking about individual and social values. I get that.

As far as when nature changes we change, that is of course a beautiful idea that I agree with and I've been turning more inward as these days get shorter and colder in Prague.

BUT Jordan Peterson being a Cold Warrior can't see or refuses to acknowledge the utter mayhem of our economic system. We are changing the climate. The climate isn't changing us. This isn't summer to autumn. This is summer to Hell aka the end of life as we know it. And it is directly tied to our economic model, how we measure and value arbitrary things over others, and live in a fantasy land of eternal growth.

The earth is the chicken AND the egg in the sense that we've thrown them both in the oven, cranked it to five-hundo and don't realize we're being cooked as well because we're too busy red-baiting, still discussing trans rights, and pretending "western capitalism" is the only reason we have shoes and a roof over our head.
