Could Mark Zuckerberg Face Criminal Charges?

If there is never personal accountability for CEOs, unethical behavior will never stop.

Zuck and Facebook have been getting their asses kicked these last few weeks. Frances Haugen’s revelations — although nothing we didn’t already know — provided the proof that even Facebook itself knew how parasitic it was for humanity, and I’m extremely proud of their self-awareness.

Currently, Democrats are rightfully pissed because of January 6th— and other issues. While Republicans are pissed because of censorship — and other issues. Facebook has literally done the impossible. It is such a corporate demon-child that it somehow got American politicians to agree on something: disciplinary action must be taken.

Facebook needs to be reined in.

Things have gotten so bad that Zuck put on his sweater, went to a modest-looking backdrop, and announced a freaking name change in an attempt to shift the discourse — sorry Meta, but you suck too.

It is definitely the worst set of crises the company has faced to date. But what will come of it?

The whistleblower said breaking up the behemoth isn’t the solution — I disagree. She did recommend algorithm tweaks, better oversight, and a body to moderate…
