And i don't think it'd be a gentle/fair rebuild either. We had that opportunity when the Soviet Union crashed but Russia was allowed to suffer for ten years and Western economists and loans helped create the gangster oligarch system that is there today and led to Putin, who also got glowing press in the early 2000s.
