I know right? The seeds are there, in the most positive sense with Occupy and the Bernie campaign. But could it ever or will it ever be wielded as a force for good and take on corporate power? Idk

Part of the reason it is tough is because of the harsh and violent anti-labor movement and "red scare" element of US history. People don't understand and don't have the language of class politics.

Add to the Charles Koch's mission of changing peoples' relationship to government aka the Reagan "scariest words are Im from the gov yada yada" and most Americans have no idea how to affect positive change in their own lives.
