I guess? He'd already reached a level at that point where he could go and give 6-figure speeches. His audience was built. And leaving somewhere that is going to shut you down is an easy move that even somebody like Dave Rubin would make.

But I guess it shows he's not a complete show pony who will say anything and promote any product for a buck. Those are qualities I can admire, but most other things he represents I would push back on.
