I do finish this piece by saying Pete is clever enough to get passed this, plus the media/dem party LOVE him so wont let him fall.

And it is not a lack of imagination, Kerry. Again, it comes down to corruption/pleasing donors. The Democrats would LOVE to replace Joe but they know there's nobody who fits their pro-corporate-financially-conservative-socially-liberal mold that could win. Pete would get hosed. Kamala would get hosed. And Klobuchar would also lose. They created a monster and realize Joe might be the only one who won't upset Wall Street but could maybe win a general election.

The "lack of imagination" is not going left enough on economic policy because it upsets donors. So they play the political game on social issues and get beat. The "lack of imagination" is them really being a right-wing party on economics and needing candidates to fit that mold, which is difficult and highly off putting for voters.

Thanks for the read and the words!
