I definintely don't disapprove of public intellectuals that I don't agree with politically, I disapprove when they're so horribly off. And everyone does. That's life. I don't understand why Jordan Peterson fans get so defensive. He himself is constantly insulting and angrily demeaning.

Any public intellectual that is damaging to the discourse and the world, I do have a problem with. That doesn't mean they can't keep rambling. He's in the public political discourse taking jabs, giving his ridiculous takes, it is fair game to disagree.

And as for quoting Chomsky, yeah, there's a hierarchy there. Peterson is a cold war conservative with a wildly innacurate historical analysis that effects his current critiques of society. Chomsky is the man and most important voice of the last one hundred years. Of course, that is my opinion, disagree, that's okay.
