In theory, yeah that's all true. In practice, it most definitely isn't.

Firms like Gravity Payments or even freaking Costco that give CEOs a lot less and workers A LOT more. Just because horrible working conditions and obscene CEO pay are abundant doesn't mean it's inevitable or dictated from the gods of "the market.'

They get away with what they get away with. Decades ago, Romney's father famously turned down a salary increase or when McNamara worked at Ford in the 60s and was getting paid 14X the average worker he said, "anything more would be criminal." Now we've normalized CEOs making 500X. <<--(that's where all the economic growth is going)

We need to raise the consciousness and see we're being hosed.
