All discourse conflates the two but it’s natural when the CPI measures price changes and then gives an inflation rate…? they’re obv linked. The paper — and this essay — say that in a few sectors demand shifts have increased prices but there’s not been a general ‘demand surge’ aka economy-wide too much money chasing too few goods. Give it a read thru one more time Steve and check out the paper…they have the receipts.
